THE PRODUCT
Wallflex® Sound-Absorbing is a lightweight, strong, and durable structural aluminum panel composed of two external skins and an internal corrugated core. The external skin is engineered with specially designed, tested perforations for optimal sound absorption, while a black fiberglass veil is applied beneath the surface. The combination of perforations and the cavity created by the corrugated core delivers excellent acoustic absorption performance.
The panel operates according to the Helmholtz resonance principle, improving the acoustic treatment of the environment where it is installed. It reduces sound reverberation and enhances speech intelligibility. Thanks to these properties, it is ideal for environments requiring high acoustic quality, such as cinemas, concert halls, conference rooms, offices, and theatres.
Wallflex® Sound-Absorbing is industrially manufactured by bonding the external skins to the internal core, followed by the pressing of all components. The internal corrugation is typically oriented parallel to the width of the panel.
